Flyers schedule 2021
The NHL began the 2021 season on Jan. 13, 2021. Each team plays a 56-game regular-season schedule with a 16-team Stanley Cup Playoffs beginning in May 2021.
The playoffs will feature a traditional best-of-seven, four-round format and wrap up in mid-July with plans to return to a normal NHL schedule for the 2021-22 season, starting in October 2021. The divisions have been realigned for 2020-21 and play will be exclusively interdivisional to minimize travel.
Games will be played in teams’ home arenas. Fans are not permitted to attend in most arenas to start the season, including Philadelphia, where the city has implemented pandemic guidelines making it clear fans are not permitted in sporting events hosted at the Wells Fargo Center.
However, that may change as the season goes on. The NHL is also prepared to play games in neutral venues if necessary.
The Philadelphia Flyers will compete in the realigned East Division in the 2020-21 season. That means they will only play against other East Division teams, including the:
- Boston Bruins
- Buffalo Sabres
- New Jersey Devils
- New York Islanders
- New York Rangers
- Pittsburgh Penguins
- Washington Capitals

How did the Flyers do last year?
The 2019–20 Philadelphia Flyers regular season was cut short when the NHL suspended play in March 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
However, The Flyers were a playoff team and eventually played in a neutral location bubble seeding round-robin tournament, finishing with a 3-0-0 record and winning the first seed for NHL Playoffs the first time in 20 years.
The Flyers went on to beat the Montreal Canadiens in six games in the first round of the playoffs but lost to the New York Islanders in seven games in the second round.

Sean Couturier won the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the top defensive forward in the league. Travis Konecny was the team’s top scorer and an NHL All-Star Game selection.
Flyers betting lines explained
- Philadelphia Flyers +1.5 (-110) +155 O 4.5 (-110)
- New York Rangers -1.5 (-110) -175 U 4.5 (-110)
Above is a typical Philadelphia Flyers betting line.
First, you see the puck line with the odds on the bet in brackets. Puck lines are almost always 1.5 goals, although you can bet on alternative lines at different odds as well.
Here, the Rangers have to win by at least two, but Philly can win or lose by one. The posted odds dictate both bets pay $100, plus your bet back, for every $110 bet.
Next, you see the moneyline odds. Bet on the Flyers and if they win, you win $155, plus your bet back, for every $100 bet. Bet on the Rangers and if they win, you win $100, plus your bet back, for every $175 bet.
Finally, there’s the totals line with the odds on the bet in brackets. Here, you bet that the total score will be over or under 4.5 goals.
Get it right and the posted odds dictate you win $100, plus your bet back, for every $110 bet.
Flyers Vegas odds vs. online odds
You can expect most Philadelphia Flyers odds and lines to open up the same in Vegas as they do at PA sportsbooks. However, that may change by the time the puck drops.
Lines move independently based on betting at a particular sportsbook, which means a line might change at a PA sportsbook, but not in Las Vegas, based on how much betting there is on one side.
Sportsbooks set lines to draw an equal amount of betting to each side of a bet. Then, they can make a profit off the vig without having to sweat the outcome.
When more money is bet on one side they’ll move the line to try to get back to even. That means the line changes at that sportsbook, not everywhere, and that’s why most Flyers lines open the same everywhere but might end up different by the start of the game.
Flyers live/prop betting
PA online sportsbooks offer live betting and props for all NHL games. That means you can bet on all kinds of Flyers props and live bet Flyers games that are already underway.
Props mostly surround betting on the team and individual stat lines. However, live NHL betting is where things get exciting. Live NHL betting gives you the chance to bet on Flyers games in the middle of the action with odds that change on the fly.
The odds change so quickly so a sports betting app on your phone is one of the best ways to bet on them.
NHL live betting lines are mostly the same ones you see pregame, but they may also include period-based bets and a larger number of in-game NHL props.
Best Flyers betting app
SugarHouse Sports has since rebranded as BetRivers, but it signed on to become the Flyers official sportsbook partner back in 2019 and remains the top place to bet on the NHL and the Flyers online in PA. BetRivers uses Kambi tech making it competitive with the rest of the PA sports betting market.
There are multiple markets and events to bet on through the app, competitive lines, easy navigation between all sports and bet types, and BetRivers accepts major credit cards, PayNearMe, and cash at affiliated casinos.
Rivers offers new players a 100% first deposit match bonus up to $250 when they sign up for an account using the bonus code PLAY250 and make a deposit. Plus, there’s only a one-time playthrough requirement, making this bonus and the BetRivers app in PA a great way to get started betting on the Flyers this season.
