Almost 10 years of Donald Trump's tax records have been handed over to the Manhattan district attorney's office after the Supreme Court allowed them as evidence in a wide-ranging forensic accounting investigation.

The tax history consists of millions of information pages, terabytes of data, which details the former US president's tax history.
According to CNN, the time span of the records falls between January 2011 until August 2019.
Lawyers will now have to comb over the huge amount of paperwork searching for information relative to the trial.
Trump has been under investigation since 2018, when Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr opened a case against him over alleged tax fraud.
This is one of several legal challenges the former president has been forced to deal with since leaving the office on January 20.
Other legal tussles include the ongoing probe to ascertain whether or not the Trump Organisation had manipulated their properties' prices to avoid taxes.
Further, two women have accused the ex-president of sexually assaulting them, according to The Associated Press.
Before Trump left office, he did not pardon himself, although he could have.
Earlier, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson filed a federal lawsuit against the former US leader.
